WebMedley signs a three-year agreement with The Lane Report as an extension of their digital publishing team.

As The Lane Report transforms into a media company, WebMedley will serve as their daily digital back office.

Lexington, KY, January 25, 2012:  The Lane Report has engaged WebMedley, effective January 6, 2012, to design, manage, re-develop, and upgrade its website, digital publications, digital promotions and social media initiatives.  A total of 6,000 articles, dating from 1997 to 2010, will be transferred to a new content management system over the next several months, allowing for a progressive, user-friendly experience.  All 2011 issues will exist in the archive at launch.

The Lane Report is a Kentucky business and economic development magazine founded 27 years ago. The well-regarded monthly circulates to private executives, public officials and decision makers in all Kentucky 120 counties. The website now posts business news from across the state every business day and distributes the FasterLane email digest three times a week. The Lane Report also is the parent of specialty publications including BG magazine for young professionals with editions in Louisville and the Bluegrass, Market Review of Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana, Market Review of the Bluegrass, Research Kentucky, Health Kentucky, Community Profiles and more.

“The Lane Report is enthused about the many improvements coming to our news and information presentation for Kentucky’s statewide business community as a result of WebMedley’s services,” said Mark Green, editorial director of The Lane Report. “WebMedley really impressed us and is going to help us meet the challenges of today’s changing news media market. Our news customers and advertisers alike will be well served.”

Advertisers will now have the opportunity to target consumers based on topic and geographic location with the implementation of a new ad management system.  This system will help advertisers increase the value of their campaigns by focusing their efforts toward specific audiences.

The new platform is scheduled for launch by February 2012.
