Last month, we posted about location based services like Foursquare and Gowalla. We’re going to start reaching out to clients in our web site management program and getting them set-up on the system. If you’d like to do this yourself, its easy. Here’s what to do:

  1. Register on foursquare.com.
  2. Search for the location of your business or organization (it may already be in the system).
  3. Either: Add the business if it does not exist OR claim the business
  4. Go to http://foursquare.com/businesses/ and check the latest news for businesses

Now, you can begin to reward people with special offers and tell people you are using location based services to stay in touch with people in your area. In June, Foursquare will have window clings to display to the general public.
